Synopsis |
Site-specific dance’s choreography is created to exist in a certain place. To generate choreography through research and interpretation of the site’s unique cultural matrix of characteristics, whether architectural, historical, social and/or environmental.
The Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation presented 15 site-specific dance pieces alongside international site-specific dance troupes: Collage Dance Theatre from Los Angeles and Third Rail Project from New York City. There were exciting local dance groups as well as school dance teams to create a street dance festival in urban landscapes, uniting architecture and dance; celebrating the vibrant arts and cultural atmosphere.
Every one was amazed and thrilled by this dance extravaganza, dotted with fabulously dressed roaming characters, back to back dance workshops, interactive dance corner and site-specific body painting demonstration! |
