| Synopsis |
The Dance Gala for Celebration of HKSAR 10th Anniversary also marked the 25th Anniversary of the founding of Danceland. The programme for the evening was performed by a few hundred young dancers from Danceland, and included children dances, Happy Birthday and Young Miao; Chinese dances Playing in the Flower Fields (Korean), Welcome, Spring!, Happy Days and The Weaver Girls of the Waterlogged Land (Han); ballet The Diamond Fairy from Sleeping Beauty, Blue Bird solo and The Snowflake Fairies; Spanish dance, and Jazz dance. Some of the outstanding students from Danceland also participated in the Chinese Modern Dance segment of the Chinese Martial Arts Dance Series by the Miranda Chin Dance Company, dancing in Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, as well as in Heaven and Man as One. The evening came to a close with the rousing, joyous Celebratory Drums. |
