Synopsis |
The whole dance makes use of taichi daoyin and the working of the meridian espoused by traditional Chinese medicine as the main line of creative force, using the Daoyin Tu (Gymnastic Chart) found at Mawangdui, and coupling it with the Five Animal Plays, Eight Length of Brocade and Tendon Transformation Canon in martial arts to explore the functional and rhythmical relationships between the heart, liver, spleen, lung and kidney. According to the change of dance and modeling, the colour, the shadow, the space and the sound to demonstrate the Chinese cultural and cosmic view that is derived from the life nourishing philosophy of traditional Chinese medicine and the notion of Nature as a representation of the coordination between the Five Elements to form a harmonic Whole. |
