Synopsis |
The grandest and finest classical ballet, Petipa-Tchaikovsky’s The Sleeping Beauty creates a magic with Charles Perrault’s everlasting romantic story. Being the youngest ever interpreter of the role of Prince Florimund in 1970, Artistic Director Stephen Jefferies reintroduced this timeless masterpiece after Petipa’s original choreography in 1890.
It is a ballet that has everything: romance, poetic symbolism, lyricism, friendship, goodness, darkness, fate and of course love. Princess Aurora, the luckiest sleeping beauty in the world, awakens from her deep sleep with a kiss by Prince Florimund. |
