Adapted and directed by Lindsey McAlister, with musical director Scott Gibson and choreographer Jun Mabaquiao, Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer-prize winning Broadway musical is based loosely on Puccini's opera La Boheme. It follows a year in the lives of seven friends living the disappearing Bohemian lifestyle in New York's East Village. The musical explores the issues of AIDS, homelessness, homosexuality, and the struggle for art in New York City, persuading young people to be proactive in protecting themselves and the people around them.
50 talented young actors, singers and dancers brought this heart-wrenching story to life with songs like “RENT”, “ONE SONG GLORY”, “SEASONS OF LOVE”, “TANGO MAUREEN”, “LA VIE BOHEME” and more. |
