Synopsis |
Three generations of dance-makers in Hong Kong create seasonal mood swings that make an impact on us comparable to that of La Niña on the weather. Maestros Willy Tsao and Lau Siu-ming re-create memorable scenes from the dreams of 20th century film giant Akira Kurosawa in their work The Unbearable Whiteness of Life; Mui Cheuk-yin wanders into the Season N in a mesmerising exploration of the unknown, free of gender and historical issues; in Xtremely Four Seasons, Dominic Wong challenges Gidon Kremer as he, together with the dancers of CCDC, attempts to create 12 variations on Vivaldi ’s Four Seasons. |
