Synopsis |
“re: do / Joseph Lee / KT Yau” brings together solo works by two young local choreographers. “Folding Echoes” by Joseph Lee and “Remain Invisible” by KT Yau are the focus of this re-staging project.
“Folding Echoes” explores the transforming and interchanging roles and relationships between performer, creation and audience; “Remain Invisible” uses strong visual elements to show a performer’s authenticity, visibility and camouflage in performances.
Both choreographers use “self” as a medium in their works in order to explore the inner, and to question and expand the audience’s imagination about dance. As young local choreographers, Lee and Yau both question “dance” as a way of arts creation, bringing two distinctive works together.
This re-staging project also provides a collaborative platform for both choreographers to develop new dialogues and possibilities beyond the mere “re-staging” of their previous works. |
