Synopsis |
An anthem of Jiangnan maiden’s devoted love
A panoramic view of Zhejiang’s folk marriage custom
Grand Red Trousseaus‧Dream of a Maiden
Grand Red Trousseaus‧Dream of a Maiden is a grand dance theatre infused with the folk customs of Eastern Zhejiang. It is inspired by the millennium-old wedding customs in Jiangnan (Southern China) and the history of Ningbo migrant workers who roamed around the country. The dance drama tells the romantic legend about the loyal and unchanging love of a lady from a wealthy family living in an ancient town in Southern China during the late Qing and early republic era.
Grand Red Trousseaus‧Dream of a Maiden has received the 11th National Construction of Spiritual Civilisation of ‘Five “One” Project’ Award. |
