Synopsis |
Inspired by the aesthetics of traditional ink paintings and calligraphy, Scent of Ink is exquisite poetry in motion exploring ancient heritage and harmony for a contemporary audience.
Jung Ku-ho, one of the top fashion designers in Korea, and choreographer Yun Sung-joo take the four "noble" plants which feature frequently in Korea's still-life artworks as thematic symbols. With their distinctive scents, each represents a season in the year: plum blossom, orchid, chrysanthemum and bamboo.
Ravishing and delicate, Scent of Ink expresses the refined spirit of Korea’s Joseon Kingdom era scholars its music evoking nobility, strength and deep dark emotions. |
