Synopsis |
Presented by The Hong Kong Ballet Group, "Young Ballet Stars Award" was the first open ballet competition in Hong Kong. Entrants will compete in the Solo and/or Group Dance Competitions, which are further sub-divided according to age and gender. For impartiality, local artists who are not affiliated with any local ballet school are invited as Semi-Final adjudicators, while Final adjudicators are internationally renowned artists specially invited for the occasion. Certificates will be awarded to all entrants. Winners will be given awards and outstanding talents will be given tuition-free scholarships to study at overseas summer training programmes.
Since its inception in 2000, the competition has drawn over 6,000 entrants. This year, the competition has been renamed as "Hong Kong Ballet Group Stars Award" and will continue to work its way as a major ballet event in the territory. |
