Synopsis |
Bringing together distinctive ballet works in the neoclassical and modern genre, Brilliant Steps featured the works of masters such as George Balanchine, William Forsythe, and the renowned Polish choreographer Krzysztof Pastor. Also featured on the bill were The Hong Kong Ballet's acclaimed guest principal dancer, San Francisco Ballet's Tan Yuan Yuan and her dance partner Damian Smith, and Gaëlle Riou and Kazbek Akhmedyarov from Ballet du Capitole, Toulouse. The Pas de Deux from Christopher Wheeldon's Ghosts was performed by Tan and Smith, while Riou and Akhmedyarov danced the Pas de Deux from Marius Petipa's classic Le Corsaire. |
