Synopsis |
Local, Mainland and overseas dance artists present to you an evening of traditional and contemporary dance of China, France, Laos and Hong Kong. Three soloists of distinct training background share the stage with three unique pieces of dance. Also showing on this evening is Improvisation Land 65. The powerful collaboration of the performing international artists is going to be beyond description, and is strictly one evening only!
DANCE INTERNSHIP
An electric current is injected into the dancer’s nerves, initiating a new and unfamiliar perspective on harmony, logic, patterns, rhythm, time and space. After this unusual catalyst, the day-to-day routine soon confuses the dancer. Worse, the dancer now has to face inner demons, who eagerly wait for a chance to integrate within the dancer.
CIRCLE
CIRCLE is an experimental work of the Lao-French dancer and choreographer Olé Khamchanla.
Drawing on its journey woven by the hip-hop, capoeira, contemporary, Butho and traditional Laos and Thailand classical dances, Olé questioned the essence of his dance, creating a singular vocabulary fed by urban dance and the ever changing and frozen postures of ancestral dances.
DIDI & GOGO
While waiting for didigogo, Didi said “didi” to Gogo and Gogo said “gogo” to Didi. And then, Didi and Gogo continued their wait for didigogo.
