The Hong Kong Ballet presented GALAXY, an international ballet gala in May 2009, as one of the highlights of the Company's 30th anniversary celebrations. On one stage, balletomanes were able to witness the consummate skill and charming grace of our Company dancers and some of the world's brightest stars: Alina Cojocaru, Johan Kobborg, Steven McRae and Roberta Marquez from The Royal Ballet, Tan Yuan Yuan, the Guest Principal Dancer of The Hong Kong Ballet and Principal Dancer of San Francisco Ballet, and her dance partner Damian Smith, Shoko Nakamura from Berlin State Ballet and Monica Fotescu-Uta and Mark Radjapov from Ballett Dortmund. |
