Synopsis |
Whether it’s the true love between the White Swan and the Prince, or the thrilling technical bravura of the Black Swan, Swan Lake has cast a magic spell over dancers and balletomanes.
Swan Lake has long been considered one of the most time-honoured classical ballets. While The Hong Kong Ballet’s production was based on the traditional Petipa version, new choreography by Artistic Director John Meehan and choreographic apprentices Carlo Pacis and Selina Chau gave the audience many pleasant surprises. This production garnered critical acclaim after it was performed in Beijing. |
