Synopsis |
The Children’s and Youth Troupes of the Hong Kong Dance Company were invited to take part in the Fourth China (Shenzhen) Youth Arts Exchange Camp and performed Childhood Wonderland at the Shenzhen Children’s Palace. More than a hundred dancers from the Children’s and Youth Troupes transformed themselves into fanciful characters, recreating the world of fairy tales on stage. The colourful children's dance drama Childhood Wonderland featured five of the best loved stories by Andersen – The Ugly Duckling, The Old Bachelor’s Nightcap, Thumbelina, The Red Shoes and The Little Mermaid. Each chapter of Childhood Wonderland shimmered with dreams, love and yearning for truth, beauty and virtue. |
