Synopsis |
The Hong Kong Ballet presents an anthology of short ballets that have been specially selected to complement each other and to showcase the outstanding talents and strengths of the Company’s dancers. The show will open with Michel Fokine’s Les Sylphides, an abstract “ballet blanc” in a classical style, accompanied live on stage by Chopin’s delightful piano music; a mini-gala will follow, featuring international guest stars. The finale of this delightful programme will be the world première of a work, commissioned by The Hong Kong Ballet, from Jorma Elo, resident choreographer of Boston Ballet and undoubtedly one of today’s most sought-after choreographers. |
