| Synopsis |
Speaker, Ms Chung Ching will use the distinctive styles and characteristics of Chinese folk dance to explore the aesthetics and character of folk dance across cultures. Through a progressing study of hand, foot, limb and body movements and the associated emotions, the body language and dance idiom of different nationalities are compared and analysed in terms of four areas: the movements and configurations of the hands, the pace of ascent of the feet, the turning and dynamic points of the body, and the emotions from within. |
