Synopsis |
African dance is high-energy, rhythmic and soulful. It dates back to ancient West Africa where dance was used to celebrate special occasions, praise the gods and many more. The beat of the drum evokes emotions to touch the minds and hearts of those who hear the rhythm. This workshop was conducted by Courtney Yeh, founder of I.M.Pulse Dance Company in 2008. She graduated from Syracuse University with major in Communications and minors in Marketing and Dance. With extensive training in Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Modern and Ethnic Dance, Courtney has a strong passion for teaching and enjoys blending flavors from Hong Kong and New York. |
