Synopsis |
Composed of seven dance works, The Hong Kong Ballet's Choreographic Showcase 2011 took the elements of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Earth as inspiration, highlighting their power to create, destroy, control and dissolve. The programme presented five young dancers from The Hong Kong Ballet – Li Yi-ran, Yuh Egami, Kenji Hidaka, Ricky Hu and Jonathan Spigner – who stepped into the role of choreographers to create dance pieces. Two guest choreographers, Hong Kong’s Yuri Ng and Wang Sizheng, one of the young talents from the National Ballet of China, also presented new works to the audience. |
