Biography Co-founder of Y-Space, Mandy was one of the first graduates of the School of Dance at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. She joined the Hong Kong Ballet as a full-time dancer after graduating. In 1990, she joined the City Contemporary Dance Company and soon became one of the principal dancers in the company. She was a recipient of the Asian Cultural Council Lee Hysan Foundation Fellowship in 1996 to conduct research on dance and theatre in the USA.
Mandy's experience in teaching, performance and creating works spanned four continents. Among her works within Hong Kong are performance at the Hong Kong Arts Festival, Hong Kong Arts Centre, and Hong Kong Cultural Centre 10th Anniversary.
Mandy has taught at the City Contemporary Dance Company, Hong Kong Dance Company, Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Tokyo Seong Dance School and the School of Dance of the Taiwan National Institute of Arts. She has conceived and coordinated projects for the Provisional Regional Council Cultural Ambassador Scheme, as well as Y-Space's Makeshift Theatre Project series, New Dance Platform, and Hong Kong History Series II - Dance at Walled Villages.
