The workshop is a intensive West African dance experience focused on the rhythm of the dansa celebration. Emphasis is placed on groundedness, polyrhythm, and position of the head, torso, legs and arms, as well as isolated articulation of the body. Along with live music, the class is high impact and cardiovascular, with lots of moving, chanting and breathing. |
